Jim and Brenda have served as missionaries since 1982, having previously served in San Jose, Costa Rica and Moscow, Russia. and since 1997, they have lived in Budapest, Hungary. They work with key national leaders in the former communist countries of Eastern Europe to help them start churches, focusing on cities and towns that still do not have an evangelical church in them. Since 1999, working with national leaders throughout Eastern Europe they have helped to see over 200 churches started.

Jim and Brenda have four children: Nathan, Ryan, Alexandra and Audrianna and two grandchildren. Three of their four children now live in the USA.
